I

have a Magnet Old English (OE) fitted kitchen which has an integrated fridge freezer. (This is built into a unit housing and

has OE doors screwed on the front. ) It is about 5 foot tall and 30:70 Freezer to Fridge. Each compartment has its own OE

door. Recently it packed up and I would like to replace it with a new one. Ideally this would be another 30:70 freezer fridge

but could possibly be a larder fridge (as I also have a separate freezer). In which case the two existing compartment doors

could probably be bolted together to form one, this has already been done elsewhere in the kitchen.

No the problem is a

different one. The Magnet OE kitchen has the old sized plinth. Does this mean that modern integrated fridge freezers or larder

fridges won’t fit the housing (being designed for units with the new sized plinths) or are they all the same size as ever and

some sort of adjustment kit is used?

Usignuolo,

Welcome to the forum.
The important thing to

remember is that the space between the doors for your new fridge freezer must align with the gap between the cabinet doors in

order for the configuration to work.
This being the case you can fit any type of integrated f/freezer so long as the doors

are not larger than the cabinet doors and, of course, that it fits within your housing.
This may mean building a raised

section within the housing and it may also mean that you insert or adapt the fixing shelf above the appliance but this can be

achieved using near or matching material.

Tim.
