I’ve read in the online manual that the oven has an ‘inner glass door’ – is that literally a second door (in the same way that 20yr old cookers used to have)?

I’m thinking of getting all Baumatic appliances but have no way of looking at them so am having to do all my purchases online. Any help appreciated…

Joe,
Welcome to the forum,
I think I’ll pass this answer on to Kenneth Watt of UK Whitegoods, as it is not my area of expertise. I’m sure he’ll be happy to explain.

Hi Joe,

The secondary glass is there to insulate against heat loss although, on many machines, it’s debatable as to how effective that is. On the low cost appliances be aware that they often just meet BS Standards, which you can find detailed here

For generalised information on cookers and ovens I wrote this article which should help you a bit.

On Baumatic, they don’t actually manufacture as such, they buy appliances in and they can come from a number of different manufacturers. What little we know about them is here

Hope that helps.

K.
