I have a American fridge which is 905mm and a Bridging unit which is 900mm. I have two larder units, one either side. Would you add a piece the same size as the ends of the bridgeing unit to either end or just one end?

How would you go about putting it up ?

Welcome to our forum,
To ensure the right aesthetical balance my advice would be to use two plant on ends each side of the bridging unit edged in a matching finish to the doors.
To fit this, fix two 25mm x 50mm battens, located near the back and one near to the front of the briging unit, flat side down and extending 300mm across the top of the unit. Fix this batten each side into the unit end panel using a pilot bit so as not to split the panel. Use 50mm x 6 guage screws for this.
Lift the unit into place up and over the top of the adjacent larder units where it will self support whilst you clamp flush with the front and top edges each side.
Fix through each side top and bottom and do similar in the rear section. Remove the battens. (You can leave the rear batten in place if it isn’t visible)
If there is no room above your cabinets, leave the rear batten in place and use two clamps to support the front batten.

I did exactly as you said Tim and it made it so easy to put the unit up. Cheers.
All the units are finally in place now.
The granite guys are coming to fit on Wednesday. Do you usually put the doors on first or wait till they’re done to avoid any damage to the doors?

May be a good idea to fit and adjust doors prior to them arriving, label where they are with a post it note on each duplicate sized door and then remove them. I am assuming they are clip on hinges here and it won’t take too much time to refit them once your tos are in place.

Good idea. I’ve put up all the wall units and corresponding doors today. I had to cut 500mm larder unit down to a depth of 365 today. Its taken me best part of the afternoon. It all turned out ok though.
