We have recently had a new kitchen fitted, and the kitchen came with a built under double oven. Our fitters were unable to fit the oven and claimed that it was a larder unit oven and not for under the worktop.

I have spoken to the kitchen company who assure me it is the correct oven.

The fitters have two issues:
1. They say it is too tall to fit in the housing unit
2. They say the oven is too deep to fit in because the pipe (which they fitted) for the gas hob gets in the way. The kitchen company say that a flexi-hose should have been used.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Sarah,

What is the make and model of your oven?

Sarah,

Necht are a re-branded appliance and there is no manufacturers website but I did come across this post at our colleagues, UK Whitegoods forum.

The easiest way to distinguish a built in double oven as opposed to a built under oven that requires no housing, is simply a matter of it’s size.
A built in oven for a tall housing is generally sized to fit a 900mm aperture but a built under double that requires no housing is approximately 700mm in height to align with the base unit doors.
