I am having problems researching the advantages / disadvantages of ceramic hobs. i have always been a “gas girl”, but i like the flush

look and touch controls of the new ceramic hobs. Does anyone have experience, or can you point me in the direction of useful info? Whenever i do a google, all i get is price

comparison sites.
Thanks in anticipation

We’ve got a hotpoint slot in cooker with ceramic top, one halogen

ring, and three ‘speedglo’ rings. We’ve had it a few years now and are very happy with it. If you like your kitchen to be neat and clean then I think they are a very good choice.

If you get a good make then it will last and look good for a long time

There is no better advice than choosing a quality manufacturer for the

appliances you purchase and customer feedback is the best yardstick we have. The internet provides all of us with the facility to determine the wheat from the chaff before choosing a

model.
Our own website surveys allow us to learn the commitment a manufacturer makes to their customers and are a useful tool to use when attempting to source products.
With regard to the gas or electric debate I’m sure it will rage on for a long time but it really is a matter of personal choice.
Electric hobs provide us with a greater control when cooking particularly where halogen and induction hobs are concerned yet gas hobs are still the most popular choice for the buyer

and many feel there is no substitute for a living flame.
