What is an appropriate worktop height for someone of 5ft 3in. Are there any set standards? I have been told that 94cm is a standard height but it seems too high for me. What is a

comfortable height for the siting of top cupboards ?

Margaret,

Welcome to our forum. There is a standard height of 900 – 910mm judged as the most comfortable height for majority of kitchen users but if this height proves difficult for you then

there you can either, reduce the plinth height of a standard cabinet or have cabinets and doors made bespoke specifically to suit you.

Of course, the latter will prove more costly but, in my opinion the minimum height you can reduce a standard cabinet to would be 850 – 860mm to top pf the worktops.
