Thanks for your help in getting me on line Tim. I am currently in the process of refurbishing the kitchen with new appliances etc and am now at the stage of cooker hood selection. The present ducted unit is a built in type activated by pulling out the front panel and this is to be removed. Spacing between the adjacent wall units is a tight 600mm (599). My question is would a 600mm wide hood fit in – such as ELICA KEY 60 or similar. This model seems to suit my needs re quietness and extraction rates etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Silverfox, the forum. outlet position to fall directly within the flue part of your extractor. In addition you will have to locate an electrical connection bejhind the flue and this will be connected to a switched fused spur located in an accessible location. The electrical alterations must be carried out by a competent person as it falls under Part P regulations. Many manufacturers make a 600mm chimney extractor and aside from the usual suspects, I will send you an e-mail with details of a manufacturer who I have carried out recent research that offered me some great feedback. Tim, Many thanks for your reply – most useful. I have spent the morning so far removing the old unit which was some job due to finding how to release the hidden catches. Plus the fact that it was installed somewhere around 1986 ! Dimensions are OK now as the space widens to 600. another problem solved. Silverfox |
