Hello Everyone!

I’m currently planning a kitchen refurbishment, and one of the main things currently

lacking is an extractor fan/hood. Although the kitchen is in a single storey extension the wall with the cooker on it backs

onto next door’s extension, so can’t be used. The nearest other external wall has a large window going nearly into the

corner above which, if I remember correctly, is a large concrete lintel so it doesn’t sound an ideal place to put in a vent.

I don’t want to duct the extractor three quarters of the way around the kitchen, so I was wondering if its possible to simply

put use some kind of chimney that would escape through the flat roof?

Does this sound crazy? Please excuse my

ignorance, but I’ve never tackled anything like this before so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

Jameson,

Take a look at this link. http://www.harcon.co.uk/slatetileridge/index.aspx

The technical

helpline is worth a call to determine the most suitable application for your kitchen.
