hi can

anyone advice me we are are having an electric cooker fitted and a gas hob.
the only hting is there is a double electric socket will this be sufficenet as we do not have a special electirc cooker socket

This will be detailed in your installation instructions

along with the recommended method but generally most single ovens can be fed via a socket provided the maimum power usage is less than 3kw.

Due to the kitchen housing the largest concentration of appliances in a property, I would always recommend that the kitchen electrical supply is adapted to form a ring circuit if your

existing supply does not.

This can be determined easily by a person with a good knowledge of house electrics and I recommend you do this before installation both as a safety factor and to offer you peace of

mind.
