l am installing a kitchen with a free dishwasher and washing machine side by side, these will be changed at a later date for intergrated appliances but for the

time being l need to fit these.
my question is the gap between base units for these appliances should it be 600 mm for each appliance or is there a panel that is supposed to fit between the washing machine and

dishwasher, and hence the overall gap is 1200 + width of panel.

i would as a rule seperate

both appliances with with a 18mm panel
so to give the w/top extra support and gives you more tolerance
for aligning your appliance doors (this is presuming you have the space
to accomadate a 18mm panel) hope this helps, thanxs ian

Ian,

Thanks for the advice, l have put a 18mm panel between the appliances to add extra support for the worktop.
