Hi again,
Next job is to fix a stainless steel splashback. I have 750×600 mm one backed with board. The brief instructions indicate thta it can be screwed or “no nailed” to the wall.
2 questions, is “no nails” up to the job of holding a v.heavy sheet of metal?
Secondly, how best to screw fix it without spoiling the appearance?
Many thanks

I haven’t fitted many splash backs (maybe folk up here

don’t like them much) but the ones I’ve done I screwed them to the wall and covered up the screws with the stainless steel look caps provided with the splash backs.
No-nails should be strong enough to hold the splash back in place, although you need to hold it still while it sets hard and you would also need to check the quality of the plaster on

the wall.

I have always used adhesive to fix these in

position. Never had a problem with this method.

I only use Gripfill though, other makes are not as good.

Once the splashback is sited on top of the worktop, there is not much weight for the adhesive to support.
