Am

planning my kitchen and wondered if there would be a problem placing the integrated fridge freezer and built in double oven next to each other. i have a corridor kitchen but not

enough depth on one side to put the units opposite each other.
thanks
Ps only found this site today – very thrilled!!!!

Helenjane,

Welcome to the forum.

In answer to your question my advice would be to determine the manufacturer for your appliances, (the higher the quality of your appliances, the more efficient the insulation around

the oven – to keep heat in, and the fridge for keeping heat out ).
Warranty issues are a major factor here and as I’ve stated on previous occassions, don’t be averse to contacting your chosen manufacturer for their installation instructions. They

want your business and will be keen to answer your concerns. Website contact is the ideal scenario as your answer will be in black and white.

Generally speaking though, if both appliances are of high quality there is no reason for this configuration to pose a problem but for peace of mind I advise you contact your chosen

manufacturer prior to purchasing.
There is no substitute for quality and increasing the budget to purchase a quality brand appliance would ensure the configuration will work without a problem and prove of greater long

term cost efficiency.

Thanks Tim,

Tim,

Puzzled about something else:
the configuration of F/F and dbl. ovens, should there be a panel between the ovens and the F/F and do the ovens butt together with no fixing panel for the metal brackets and runners?
This is like mental chess.

lkj,

There is no need for any further protection than each of the appliances seperate housings provided the appliances are of good quality the configuratiuon of an oven next to a fridge

should not pose a problem.

Ovens do not require brackets and runners unless they are base mounted cookers. An aperture or opening is provided in the housing where it is located and fixing points are normally

provided where the oven meets the front of the housing.

Tim
