from the posts: do you recommend setting the range cooker 4 or 5mm above the WT finished surface(s)?

In addition to protective metal edge profiles which are available from most major diy

outlets, I would reccommend that ranges are raised 5mm above the worktop in order to prevent flame spread damage to cabinetry and worksurfaces.
