HI ALL
Ihave a new Maine Houston Single Bowl Undermount Stainless Steel Sink,i need to mount to a 30mm granite work top,,the sink came with waste kit etc, but no mention of fixing sink to granite worktop,am i correct in saying the sink is just siliconed on to the granite, would i need to support the sink underneath?
any advise is welcome.
thanks

loosenup

Hi Steve
The only way to do this is to fix a solid top into the base carcase.. then position your sink and do a cutout as if it was in a normal worktop.
Make sure the board is set down abot 2 mm from the top edge of the carcase so that the granite is not lifted by the sink .
Silicone the sink in position ..
get the granite suppliers to template from the litchen.
Dont forget to allow for the taps to be installed.
Silicone would not be enough to hold the sink to the underneath of the granite and the traditional way of underslung is a blot into the worktop with brackets.. and I have not yet met a granite supplier who is willing to do this.
Hope all goes well for ya
Phill
