Could you please help with the following question?

I’m starting to refurbish a new apartment

and want to install a gas cooktop on a kitchen island. What is the right way to bring gas pipe to the island? Can it be built

in under the floor tiles? Some architects here say it can be done, some – that it cannot, so I’m puzzled.

Thank you

very much!

Gurumsag,

Your architects puzzlement is puzzling.
Gas pipes can

be laid under a floor screed with a minimum depth of 25mm below the finish. The pipe itself must be factory sheathed protected

pipe fit for the purpose and must be taped and identifiable as a gas pipe.
The installation must be undertaken by a

qualified and competent installer.
