Hi all, Excellent forum. I’ve been lurking here for a while in prep for replacing our kitchen. I spotted these drawer dampers on the Ikea website: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15576&catalogId=10103&storeId=7&productId=79608&langId=-20&categoryId=16281&chosenPartNumber=60108677 Since I’m being quoted £14 per drawer to "upgrade" to soft close drawers these look like a snip at £4 per pair ….. IF THEY FIT! So, does anyone know if these will fit non Ikea draw runners, and if so do you need one per drawer or the pair per drawer? Thanks Kev |

Thanks Tim, The £14 is to "upgrade" hettich standard drawers to their soft close product. I just thought I’d ask on this forum as I know you can get the door "soft close" dampers for around £1.50 on e-bay and the same place are charging nearly £7! If this £14 is a reasonable charge and a quick easy-fix alternative like those Ikea dampers aren’t suitable then I’ll go with it. Now just got to hunt around for rounded base unit doors to go under a double radius worktop that the missus wants! |
