I am looking to replace my built under single electric oven with a double into the same space. My question is this. Am I able to purchase a built under double electric oven that will fit into the cabinet that the single one is currently sitting in? The reason I want to do this is that I purchased an oven that when it arrived, it had it’s own feet and the installation instructions pointed out that it would sit in the space between two other under the counter cabinets..attached either side by way of brackets screwed to those cabinets. Have also seen others that suggest that brackets/runners would be attached to cabinets either side of the oven and the double would sit on these. My problem is this. I only have a cabinet to the left of the cabinet currently housing my single oven. To the right is a free standing washing machine. Therefore, I would have nothing to attach the right hand side of the oven to. There also isn’t really enough space to attach a board to the underside of the worktop and floor between where the oven would sit and the washing machine. Any help/advice on this would be most appreciated. |

diyfitter, I’m unaware of any built under double oven designed to fit an existing cabinet. The capacity would be reduced significantly and it would have a similar volume to a single oven, so it’s hardly an effctive alternative. Tim |
