Hi there all. I am very interested in Kitchen design and was wondering if the trade experts/designers could enlighten me as to what design software they use. When a kitchen shop/store do the designs for the customers…are these designs put together from software supplied by the kitchen manufacturer, or are there generic software packages out there that are commercially available, with a range of manufacturers catalogues/maps which can be incorporated into the software. For example autocad and some plugins?? Any help would be very appreciated. BLEEM |

Bleem, I suggest you become a little more familiar with forums before you blast off at what, after all, is a discussion and free advice board. Patience is obviously not a virtue you possess but I would advise that you try to find it if you harbor ambitions of becoming a designer because your own expertise of intolerance and ingratitude is not one that will fit well with your clients. For the record, one of our more valued members has posted a reply to your copy of this post in our Kitchen Questions forum. The reply was posted at 11.45pm on the same day you posted your original request. Now what would bode well for the future is an apology but I won’t hold my breath. |

Bleem, It was big of you to offer an apology and after your private message explaining everything it is now water under the bridge. I think many of us have suffered embarrassment at the hands of prank seeking teenagers and I extend my own apology for assuming otherwise. Anyway, back to the point of your original request, try http://www.articad.co.uk/index3.htm linked to a variety of maufacturers. |
