I would appreciate any

advice with regard to laminate trimmers as I am planning to buy one but don’t really know what to look for eg angled trimmers as against standard ones. Makita seem to produce a

bewidering range of them so i presume there must be differences.

I am only planning to use it for trimming edges of kitchen work surfaces if that helps.

Also, thanks to everyone who gave their advice as regards mitre saws and jigs, for the record i bought the Trend combi 1002 jig for £229 inc vat and delivery which seemed reasonable

and an Eletrta Beckum 303 for 450 euros in germany which is very reasonable. Netx job starts tomorrow so looking forward to using them.

Sorry Bruno,

My knowledge of laminate trimmers is not so extensive and I will bow to a better judgement here.

Personally I used to use a Makita Trimmer, most likely when their range was not as great as it now seems, and it saved a lot of time and effort until it was stolen.

Hi bruno,

I have just purchased a makita 3708F with tilting base. I will let you know how it performs on worktop edging.
