Could you tell me what is the best way to trim laminate edging after its been glued on to the end of a worktop. When the strip is offered up to the worktop, its made flush with the

top surface, and any exccess is left on the underside. It’s been suggested that I try a hand file, tapping it with small tacking hammer, router trimming bit etc. The bull nose is the

part I cant seem to get spot on.
Thanks alot.

The quickest and neatest way is to use a laminate trimmer but as these are only cost

effective if fitting on a regular basis then I suggest usind a file.
Edging is a greater width than the worktop and if you apply the edging so that you are trimmig the excess off the underside you can achieve a neater finish by gently filing the face

side. Apply the edging when contact adhesive is touch dry on both surfaces and use a hammer and wooden block to ensure proper adhesion.
It is also a good idea to shape the edging so it is slightly proud of the postform or front edge of the top again before filing.
