Hi there, Ever since we had our kitchen fitted about 6 months ago our washing machine has been on the move during normal operation. It’s part of a fully fitted kitchen with all the hinges and doors attached. We’ve altered the legs and even contemplated mastiking the thing in place!! Whats the correct way to fit these things? Are they attached to wall from the rear when installed or just free standing? Please help a novice!! Cheers Mike |

Mike, Referring to the installation instructions is the correct method and the way that a manufacturer conveys their way of eliminating the potential problems that may occur. If you have adhered to them then you must contact Candy and alert them to this problem. It may be that the problem is unrelated to the manufacturer and caused by incorrect fitting and you must determine this beforehand. Raising the machine on a platform and installing a batten in front of the feet may be a way of achieving success here but discuss this with the technical helpline at Candy to ensure they sanction it first. As most visitors to the website are aware, I offer an opinionated response to posts and e-mails I receive and I have to say that a number of manufacturers are not yet in the same league as the appliances I advocate the use of over this website. This is, more often than not, reflected in the cost difference but in terms of cost efficiency you are better spending the extra to eradicate potential problems. That may sound a little elitist but I remain unconvinced by certain products yet at the same time I am open to persuasion if improvements occur. |
