hello there, my kitchen is a u shaped layout but the walls are nowhere near square. one corner is more than 90 degrees, one is less than 90 degrees. i want to install new laminate worktops but im not sure if it will be possible to use a standard worktop jig to cut the joints if they are not square… ive seen a jig that will cut corners up to 1.5 degrees out of square but my corners are 7 degrees out of square… whats the best way to approach this job? im tempted to just use butcher block worktop instead so i can just cut the worktop to the correct angle and butt the corners up…. any ideas?!? cheers, james

Jimbo,

Using a standard jig should achieve satisfactory results here as the angles are not so far out from the norm.
What you my need to do is to shave the front profile slightly but referring to the article will help you.

Let us know how you fare here James and post back if you have any further issues.

Tim.
