Is there anybody in the north west able to knock up a kitchen from purely recycled wood? I’ve looked all over the show and had no luck.
I’m keen for an individual look that has to fit in with my green wishes- apparently a tall order.
Has anyone had any experience of trying to design their own kitchen with recycled wood? Any details would be much appreciated.
Comprehensive site by the way.
Just a shame it’s saturday night and I’m typing about kitchens.

Many thanks.

Wirrallboy,
Welcome to the forum.
This is an interesting post as a number of consumers now ask for the environmental policies of kitchen manufacturers and green issues are becoming more popular.
The facts are that synthetic materials are more suited to the construction of cabinetry such as MDF or MFC, and to determine the origin of the components that make up the material would be difficult.
As for doors however, there are a number of manufacturers capable of sourcing recycled woods and I will speak with our own fabricator this coming week to explore the possibilities here and report back to this post.

Tim
