Hi, just moved into a new David Wilson house and wanted some additional units (150mm wide wine racks) to use as infills between some other units. If I buy direct from Symphony these are stupidly expensive for what they are. I have 2 questions:

1. Is directly through Symphony my only option when purchasing?
2. How hard can it be with a load of end panels/plinths etc to make my own?

Could anybody give me some advice if I went down the option 2 route?? I imagine its 2 end panels, with a few 150mm wide shelves in between?

Many thanks

BlueDan,
Good to hear from you again. In answer to your questions, firstly, you can purchase the accessories such as wineracks, pull-out larders etc online. Although I won’t mention any company names here, place the term kitchen design accessories, uk into a google search and you will come up with a number of sellers.
As for the making your own, again this isn’t too difficult if you have the correct tools. Most installers will undertake this on site using a flip over combination saw but similar results could be achieved without professional tools but with a little more time and effort.
Good luck and if you require any more assistance then post away.

Tim, thanks, I found a company on ebay which can supply me with all the extra’s I need, and ended up buying two wine racks, because it would cost more in time to make them, and probably not look as good!
