Hi there – great site. Firstly I’m looking for any ‘Kitchen Installer’ training courses that may be out there. I’m based in Cheshire but prepapred to travel further a field. I’ve tried all the usual outlets but come up with nothing. I have a ‘Kitchen Makeover’ business oppertunity available to me and although I have no problem fitting doors and accessories the thought of fitting worktops scares the hell out of me. I’ve read your article on w/tops which is very informative, but I guess you can’t beat the real thing. I’m also in the process of buying all the relevant power tools. A joiner friend of mine recommends a brand called ‘******’ its German, really expensive but I’ve never heard of it – is it any good? Thanks Tim-B |

Hi there Your joiner friend is correct – ******* make some brilliant tools and also have a cleverly designed storage system. All the boxes stack and interlock so transporting tools from A – B is secure. But, and there’s always a but, ******* are expensive compared to other brands although if you are willing to pay extra for quality, they may outlast competitor’s products. Of these, I think it’s worth considering ******* (who have recently supplied ‘General Purpose Combat Power Tool Kits’ to the MOD – no, I don’t work for them!), from. I usually buy from Ebay sellers and achieve some good savings. Hope this helps! Steve |

We would like to apologise for the mystery surrounding the tool brand names eliminated from the previous posts but as a site whose existence and maintenance is assisted by the support given by a number of reputable companies who value it’s worth, we feel it is unfair to name companies who, as yet, do not.
