Hi, I could not find this topic exactly so I thought I’d ask. My family is fitting a kitchen and we are attempting to fit the corner wall cabinet. It is a 625mm x 625mm single piece cabinet with three hangers. We have fitted the wall cabinet next to it and in order to keep it square and flush with this cabinet the other side around the corner is around 10mm away from the wall at the top and around 6 mm away at the bottom. I was just wondering what the recommended solution to this problem would be? Jon |

Hi johngroom, I would say your best option is to use a plant on carcase colour panel, which is deeper than the wall unit carcase. For instance, if the carcase is 715h x 300d, use a panel min. 350mm deep x 715h. This will allow you to scribe the back edge to the shape of the wall before planting this on the side of the unit, and therefore covering the un-even gap – its basically like an extended carcase side. You can then choose to have the front edge of this panel flush with the carcase or flush with the door. Hope that all sounds clear – if not, let me know and i could fax or email something over to you in diagramatic form! tkd. |
