Hello there,

I’ve bought a Miele WT945S washer-dryer (I know..I know, but no room!). It’s going under the worktop (Wickes laminated chip board), right next to the masons mitre. There’s a

worktop end support between the machine and the joint, but the joint bolt hole is going to be on the machine side of the support. Do I need any kind of protective sheet attached to

the underside of the W/T over the machine to protect the bolt hole or W/T under-surface against steam etc.? I did actually coat the bolt hole with PVA. If it does need protecting,

what should I use and where can I get it?

It is more important to protect the worktop when installing a

dishwasher because of the direction of the steam when in use but if you are concerned then I would suggest applying a strong tin foil to the underside using silicone sealant as the

adhesive.
