i dont do many kitchens so dont keep up with worktop sealants trends

things like colorfil and color bond seem to be less easy to find

what i mean is that people who previously stocked them are now offering coloured silicones instead

i have to say that colorfil goes off dead quick and silicones give a degree of open time

Dirtydeeds,

Good to hear from you again.

I’ve never been a fan of Colorfill which is pretty well documented in previous posts and so it seems others have realised the pitfalls and decided to downgrade it.

Silicone does, as you say, offer you more time to ensure the joint is level and both it’s adhering quality and long term effectiveness as a sealant is far superior to that of Colorfill or it’s cousins.
