Hello – I’ve got a query about worktops – B&Q, Homebase and Wickes etc seem to do standard laminate rolltop worktop in two thicknesses – 38mm and 28mm. Can anyone tell me what the difference is apart from the obvious(!) and price? I would imagine the 38mm worktop would be better if there are any joins to be made as the 28mm might be too thin to route safely? If I have no corners planned in my kitchen could I get away with using 28mm to cut down on the cost? Any advice welcomed. Cheers, Luke |

Luke, only laminate size available and are still suitable for any configuration including joints but they are antiquated for use in the kitchen due to the greater popularity of a deeper surface, 38mm, mainly introduced for aesthetic reasons. a tendency for even deeper surfaces and 50mm are also now available. and quality I would advise you choose 38mm.
