Hi, I am about to replace all my worktops and upstands for new. I have a stainless steel splashback wich I am going to put behind the hob, therefore the upstand will stop at the splashback and then start again the other side of it (600mm gap in upstand where splashback will go). My question is, what shall I do behind the kitchen sink? There are no tiles in the kitchen, except on the floor, so I was wondering what to do behind the sink, if anyone had any good suggestions which might look good? The upstand is rounded at the top, so would look a bit wierd if I tiled above them. Behind the sink is a about 12 inches of wall height and then the window, which is just a plastered sill, i.e. it doesn’t have a window sill fitted. My only idea so far is to repeat the gap left for the hob splashback, and tile between the upstand, but the upstand is about 20mm thick….. Ideas, suggestions would be appreciated!! Many thanks |
