I found

your site by accident when looking
around for a new oven/hob.

Last week the ignition on my Parkinson Cowan stopped working, after calling the local p/c gas fitter and explaining the problem, he suggested that it would be expensive to repair (

all parts & labour etc ) and I might be better off buying a new one.

But after reading your article on “How To” I suddenly remembered the electric plugs at the back of the cupboard next to the oven, had a look and lo & behold they were all

switched off !!! It must have happened when the cupboard was re stocked.. I never think of these plugs because I never see them.

So I would like to thank you for your advice, ( better than the p/c fitters, he never suggested checking the plugs ) I just have to have the grill repaired now. You have saved me a

considerable amount of time and money.
