Integrated appliances Q

Postby ban-all-sheds on Tue Apr 06, 2010 2:55 am

I'd appreciate any advice/tips/gotchas/etc regarding installing full-size fully integrated washing machine, dishwasher & tumble drier:

1) 2 appliances next to each other, base units either side

2) 1 appliance on its own, i.e. no cabinets to either side, one side adjacent to a wall.

Ban all sheds,
Two integrated appliances side by side - strengthen the worktop by using steel angle brackets at the rear. You can successfully fit a separating end panel if using made to measure doors and still can if using standard sized doors but this would create a larger than average gap between the doors.
One integrated appliance next to a wall - fit an end panel and filler same height as your door up to the wall, cut out end panel to allow plinth to continue up to wall, same distance as the legs are from the cabinet front and a height that will accomodate the plinth, generally 150mm.
