Integrated Fridge Hinges

Postby pafranklin on Fri Aug 29, 2003 9:06 am

I am looking for a supplier of the door hinges for either a built under appliance or integrated unit.

The hinge attachs the cupboard door to the door of the appliance and is in effect a plastic sliding hinge that is attached to both doors. Can you help please ?

Many thanks.

The mechanism you describe is only available through trade

suppliers and although we can obtain them the cost may be fairly substantial for a single order.

Might I suggest you contact the fridge manufacturer and ask them to send you the plastic sliding mechanism for your model of fridge. I am fairly certain they will operate this

facility.
Hope this helps,

Tim

I had a similar

issue with a integrated f/freezer i purchased which had the slider fixings on the f/f doors but nothing to attach to the kitchen unit doors. I improvised by using a length of white

plastic in a squared U shape (does that make sense) and positioned this in the correct place to pull the door open. Worked a treat and only cost a fiver from Focus (it was in one of

those 'funny' shapped lengths of wood, metal & plastic display units).

Code: Select all

Great

innovation and one that will interest a number of visitors as enquiriers on this subject are great in number.
Let's hope Focus don't get wind though otherwise they'll double the price and re-label the extrusion you used.
