DESIGN SOFTWARE LICENCE

I used to design, sell and install kitchens. For the design element i purchased Articad pro, i have now decided that i just want to concentrate on the installation of kitchens. I therefore have surplus to requirements a licence for articad, which when i asked articad about transferring the licence to another person articad have told me they want £1200 for the privelage (even though i have bought it!). Has anyone had experience of transferring ...

Service space behind built-in cooker

I'm attempting to remodel my kitchen, moving the cooker, sink etc around.
This means that the waste, central heating and mains water pipes would all need to run behind the built-under cooker (concrete floors and solid walls rule these out as alternative routes). Is this feasible?

Microwave and hood in wall unit????

I have small kitchen and was going to go with a chimney hood above a gas hob, however I'm a little concerned about giving all that space to the hood. Was wondering if it would be possible to house a built in microwave + telescopic hood above the hob. If so what kind of unit would I need to house it? I'm getting a Wickes kitchen and they only do 720mm wall units or bridging ...

A question of colour, bold & risky or safe & classy?

Hello any Kitchen Designers out there!

I freely admit I haven’t got a creative bone in my body! but am in the process of designing a new kitchen. I’m quite practical and have a layout that I think will work well but when it comes down to colour and finish that’s a different ball game. I don’t know why but I’ve got it in my head to have black sparkly floor tiles, bright green acrylic ...

Can I install Oven above Washing Machine

Hi, I was wondering whether it would be ok to install an integrated washing machine below my built in oven. It is a column style tall unit, so I plan to make some changes to the lower section of the carcass to accommodate the washing machine, basically removing the bottom section of the carcass completely, but then strengthening the shelf for the oven by using the two tall units on either side. I already have ...

Cornices and under cabinet lighting Issues

I am about to go ahead with a wickes kitchen - Glencoe (white gloss slab with D-handle), with a quartz surface - supplied by yourselves. Trouble is I really hate the cornice and pelmet which is generally fitted above and below the wall units - it ruins the sleekness for me, and I'd like the kitchen to look like an expensive European one without a massive budget (they never have these cornices/pelmets on white gloss ...

Upstands. All the way rpound?

Fitting a new kitchen. Decided on using an upstand rather than tiling. Plan is to have a stainless steel or glass splashback behind the hob area.

Need 2 bits of advice. Firstly, what generally looks better, continuing the upstand behind the hob and then continuing up to the extractor with the splashback or installing the splashback from the worktop surface upwards (ie with a break in the upstand).

The other problem I have regards the ...
