Mixer tap installation/connection

I've got a mixer tap to install and it has two 15mm copper pipes that screw

into the bottom of it. The first problem I have is that these pipes start smaller and gradually open out to 15mm meaning that I can't shorten them until quite far down. This means

that due to their location they will pass directly through the centre support of the sink unit, if I drill holes in that support there ...

Drainage pipes for double sinks

I've got 2 round sinks to install in a standard 1000mm sink unit. I bought some 40mm

drainage pipe and a selection of push-fit elbow connectors and a t-piece. What I was planning to do was direct the two sinks drainage into the t-piece and then route that to the main

drainage point where it used to exit in the bottom corner of the kitchen. I'm not sure about the sink trap though (is that ...

Wine rack fitting problems

Hi - great site :)
Hope you can help me....
In the fitting instructions for my kitchen it says that wine racks are attached to the adjacent units. However, in my design the wine racks are at the end next to the wall, one is at

base unit level and between the wall and built under oven, the other is a high unit between wall and oven ...

Sealing the worktop/wall "joint"

I am just embarking on installing a new kitchen - the tips and hints on this wonderful site have got me mentally prepared at least!
What is the best way to seal the join where a laminate worktop meets the wall? I want to avoid the ingress of water etc, as the old kitchen revealed dirty and unhygenic streaks down

the wall behind the base units, so obviously over the years pollution has got down ...

Back Boards

Hi ....

The kitchen install is going well.. units in, worktops cut etc.... the forum info has been really useful.

Another quick question..... the intention is to fit one wall of the kitchen with 8mm thick back boards from the top of the worktops to ceiling level. The boards are 3m long x 580mm

deep. I was going to use tile cement to fit these or is there a better way ??. I have seen ...

end panels

Hi Tim

This topic may have been covered already but i am still a little grey on this matter.

One of my worktops runs the length of a wall and the last 600mm will be supported by brackets as i am having a freestanding fridge under it.

At the end of this worktop run there will be a decorative end panel, what is the best way to fit this panel?

Thanks for a great site ...

Cutting worktop with circular saw

As this is my first post may I

start by saying how useful I find the tips and comments. - Thank you.

My question is on cutting worktops with a circular saw. Does it require a special saw blade or will a general purpose tungsten tipped blade suffice - and is there a recommended

minimum machine power.

My saw is a 1020 watt Black & Decker Pro-line fitted with a 24T blade
