Do the base units (b&Q) have to be flush against the wall if the wall is out ?

I can get them pretty much flush but was wandering if they have to actually butt up against the back wall.

In answer to the question, it is important in preparation for

fitting that all out of level walls are remedied if out of level.

If you commence installation without ensuring walls are plumb then you have no option other than to fit cabinets vertically level regardless of gaps at either top or bottom where the

unit meets the wall.

There is of course an acceptable gap of up to 5mm that can be neatly sealed but beyond this you may have to scribe in an additional extended gable to ensure neatness.
