pipe

I need some advice on how to cover a pipe.
I need to put a worktop down and the pipe is in the way going about 8 inches horizontally. I don't want to raise the worktop to a non-standard height so was wandering how others may

have hidden pipes. I was thinking about cutting out the hole for it and then covering it with something but what ? The pipe is about 1.5 inches thick.
The pipe is in line with where my sink will go so there is only 2 inches between the top of the sink edge and the pipe.

Thanks for any ideas.

I have to be honest here Gary. I would not advise you to do

anything other than alter the pipework to suit the kitchen as opposed to vice versa.

Any other solution would ruin the aesthetics of your new kitchen.

OK, I've got to get a quote for the plumbing as I am

moving the sink, so I'll ask him to move the pipework as well.
