Yes it's feasible and a deeper worktop will accommodate the pipework in this instance. Standard service gaps would limit the depth of pipework you could run behind but using standard sized cabinetry and fixing them the required depth to accommodate your services will provide the answer.
For example, to allow a further 50mm of rear space will require a standard 570mm cabinet to be fitted 620mm from the wall to the carcass front edge. Your worktop depth, allowing for a 40mm overhang, would need to be 660mm.
Obviously this would require reducing a deeper surface to suit unless your choice is a bespoke surface such as the Quartz or Corian. We have a great offer on Gemini quartz up until 11th Feb if you wish to consider this Craig.
Sorry, but I just have to do a little self promotion sometimes. There are of course other alternatives cutting down a 900mm laminate top for instance but the main thing for you is that it is achievable,
