Spacing of Appliances

Hi

We are currently designing a replacement kitchen in a relatively small space and want to install a 600mm ceramic hob adjacent to a tall larder cupboard but are wondering whether this would be ok. There will be a large space the other side of the hob. Whilst it might not be best practice is there a regulation that says you shouldn't do it.

Richard,

Welcome to our forum.
There are certainly regulations that govern this clearance for gas hobs fitted adjacent combustible elevations such as a tall housing and my advice would be to allow 300mm minimum clearance as a yardstick both for practicatlity and for safety reasons.
