As there are a growing number of Quartz worktops available to Kitchen Buyers, what do you believe distinguishes your product from your competitors and why should a potential client opt to purchase your product?
Innovation and quality have defined the direction of COMPAC MARMOL & QUARTZ since its creation in 1975. Dedicated to the manufacture of decorative surfaces from its beginnings, the company has evolved to the point where it has become one of the foremost businesses worldwide in the production of quartz and marble surfaces: natural compounds that introduce creative possibilities, improve performance and extend the applications of the original stone. Innovation and quality are 2 main factors we believe distinguishes Compac Quartz from our competitors. Range of new colours, full of elegance, harmony and shimmering reflections, illuminating atmospheres with a bright, eye-catching appeal. Pure, uniform colours for innovative spaces with lots of visual impact. We work together with the latest innovative colours and with the Top Fashion Designers such as Karim Rashid, http://www.karimrashid.com who has created 9 exclusive and unique colours for Compac later in 2008.
Many more consumers have growing concerns about health and environmental issues in their search for a product, do they have any reason for concern when purchasing your product?
The manufacturing process starts with careful selection of raw materials in the quarry itself. With strict quality controls in place, two production centres manufacture the final product. MARMOL COMPAC in Spain has an annual production capacity of 1.8 million square metres and QUARTZ COMPAC in Portugal 1.4 million square metres per annum. Whilst still a family business this is very much an international company, present all over the world with products outstanding in design and exceptional in versatility and resistance. From among the ten minerals that, ordered according to hardness, conform to the Mohs scale, only topaz, ruby and diamond surpass the consistency of the QUARTZ COMPAC surface. Composed of silica, the mineral that produces quartz, in a proportion close to 95%, this material maintains many of the characteristics of the original rock. Its quality, however, is greater. Few surfaces are as strong and adapt so suitably to architecture and interior design. QUARTZ COMPAC is bullet-proof design and versatility. Of practically zero porosity, its resistance to impact, bending and abrasion, and its natural antibacterial protection - derived precisely from its almost total impermeability - make it the ideal product for those areas traditionally most subjected to domestic wear and tear such as surfaces, sinks and washbasins. Invulnerable to acids and oils and very easy to clean, it is the perfect surface for kitchen and bathroom. Its adaptability, resistance and quality, nevertheless, make its uses and applications infinite
