I’ll wager that most people reading this at some time or another, opened the sink cabinet door to discover a water drenched base unit had become part of the furniture. Throughout the lifetime of a kitchen it’s pretty much a given that a leak will develop under the sink and there’s no warning device I’m aware of that gives you prior notice that it is about to happen.
This begs the question ; Why is there not a waterproof cabinet made available to buyers?
Now, as many of our regular readers know, we offer Corian Worktops and a selection of Quartz Worktops ranges to our visitors. Unlike laminate surfaces those we offer are bespoke, tailor-made and require a bit more in the budget for your project than their laminate counterparts. Like laminates though, should a leak occur under a sink unit – renewal of that cabinet would be necessary because MFC, which is used for the construction of the vast majority of UK kitchen cabinets, becomes irreparable once subject to water ingress. It results in the same thing – the removal of your Worktops in order to renew the cabinet.
If you’re insured for such upheaval then that’s some comfort I guess but surely prevention is better and far less costly than cure in this instance
And so to the point of this blog which is borne out of a personal passion to see the introduction of a solution.
We already have a solution and we invite a forward thinking kitchen provider who sees the opportunity as one that can build upon their existing portfolio, to contact us with a view to bringing this to market.
The deal:
A company manufactures it to suit their most popular sink cabinet sizes
We promote it to our visitor base of over 21,000 monthly and beyond in it’s own web presence, article marketing, blogs etc
We receive a percentage on sales
